WritOn ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.
We collect basic profile information (such as pen name, bio, and avatar) and authentication tokens required to securely identify you across devices. For signed-in readers, limited reading signals such as opens, engaged time, progress, bookmarks, rereads, comments, follows, shares, and quick exits support recommendations. Guest preferences remain in local app storage and are not tied to a persistent server-side guest identity.
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the WritOn reading and publishing platform, deliver notifications, and enable literary community discussions.
We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. Raw signed-in feed events are retained for up to 90 days, feed exposures for up to 30 days, and aggregate preferences until account deletion. Account deletion removes reader-learning data. We do not sell or monetize your personal data with third-party advertisers.
Recommendations admit verified human-authored stories only. Bot, system, test, and suspicious activity is excluded from ranking quality. Campaign analytics do not include story text, author identity, email, profile name, authentication tokens, device fingerprints, or raw reading history.
